Corona Police Officers Shoot Attempted Murder Suspect on Golf Course

Corona Police officers were involved in a shooting of an attempted murder suspect at the Dos Lagos Country Club Friday evening. Officers were in pursuit of the suspect which started in the area of Tom’s Farms in unincorporated Corona. They chased the suspect to the 4500 block of Temescal Canyon where he fled on foot.

The suspect was located on the Dos Lagos Golf Course, running towards civilians sitting in a golf cart. According to Corona Police, an officer-involved shooting occurred, and the suspect was struck by gunfire and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was identified as a 28-year old Corona resident. A 30-year old male was also in the vehicle and was detained by police. Riverside Sheriff was called in per department policy to investigate the officer-involved shooting.
