Pilot Dead After Plane Crash in San Bernardino

A pilot was killed after slamming a plane into the hills above San Bernardino. The pilot was a flying a twin engine Gulfstream AC95 from Stockton to the Chino Airport. The plane lost contact with air traffic controllers Saturday night around 10pm.

Witness reported hearing a low flying airplane and then seeing a red flash. The wreckage was located on the hillside near Kendall Drive and Palm Avenue, but due to the terrain and weather conditions, investigators had to wait until Sunday when a San Bernardino Sheriff helicopter could fly them in. The NTSB and FAA are investigating.
