Cal Fire assistant chief Josh Bischof was honored in a memorial service Thursday in Ontario. Bischof was one of three killed in a helicopter crash while flying over a fire in Cabazon on Sunday, August 6th. Hundreds of firefighters from across the state attended the memorial service held at the Ontario Toyota Arena.
The solemn procession included a flyover with Cal Fire aircraft. Inside, Bishof was remembered for his contribution to the fire service. Bischof was a 24-year veteran of the department, starting his career in the early 1990’s as a volunteer firefighter.
