Firefighters are working to contain a 1088-acre fire in the San Bernardino National Forest. The “Radford Fire” is currently burning near Big Bear. An evacuation order was in place from Glass Road to South Fork River.
New evacuations were ordered Tuesday afternoon for the Moonridge neighborhood between Bear Mountain Ski Resort and Snow Summit. The fire jumped a forestry road inching closer to Big Bear. That evacuation order was downgraded Thursday morning as cooler temperatures and moisture moved into th area. The fire is now 40% contained.
