A sixteen-year old girl is in the hospital recovering after being stabbed several times Wednesday afternoon in Montclair. The incident happened around 3:34pm in the 4700 block of San Bernardino Street. The suspect who stabbed the girl is a sixteen year old boy. Both attend Montclair High School.
The female is was stabbed from behind with a fixed bladed knife. A neighbor describes the weapon as a kitchen knife. The female was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive. The male was arrested and booked into San Bernardino Juvenile Hall on attempted murder charges. The motive has not yet been determined and the Montclair Police Department is investigating.
