Jurupa Valley Fire Burns Over 100 Acres and Threatens Homes

A fast moving fire broke out in the Santa Ana Riverbed in Jurupa Valley Saturday afternoon. Dozens of fire crews and aircraft battled the fire which threatened several structures around 4pm. Riverside Sheriff Deputies quickly evacuated the Riverview neighborhood as flames came right up to backyards.

By 10pm, firefighters had the fire under control and the evacuations were downgraded to a warning. Fire crews will remain overnight in the area to mop up hotspots. The fire is under investigation.
