Anger Fuels Abortion Protests

Protests over Friday’s historic Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe vs. Wade were mostly peaceful in Southern California. In downtown LA Friday night after dark, protestors took the to streets blocking traffic. Earlier in the day they got on the 110 and 101 freeways and caused traffic tie-ups.

Some arrests were made as protestors clashed with LAPD officers in riot gear in the downtown area. Saturday, protests remained mostly peaceful as hundreds showed up downtown and marched to pershing square. Some made it on to the freeways again but were met with a show of force from LAPD.
