Fire in Colton Destroys Two Apartments

Firefighters raced to a fire at the Nova Pointe Apartments in Colton early Tuesday morning. The fire broke out at the complex at 800 East Washington around 1am. Upon arrival firefighters found flames coming from the roof of one of the apartments.

Mutual aid from surrounding fire agencies was requested. The fire was knocked down within 30 minutes. Two apartment units sustained damage. At least 12 residents were displaced and Red Cross was called to assist. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
