Small Plane Crash Lands at Upland Cable Airport

A small plane crash-landed at Cable Airport in Upland Monday afternoon. The San Bernardino County Fire Department received the call just after 12pm. The pilot, who was the only occupant, suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The plane had damage to the wings and the landing wheels appeared to have been bent or broken off. It is not known what caused the crash, however witnesses say the plane may have been following too closely behind a Sheriff’s Rescue Helicopter and the plane’s pilot may have lost control due to the helicopter rotor wash.

The FAA says there will be an investigation.
