Firefighters Battle Fire at Chino Airport Hangar

A hangar at the Chino Airport caught fire early Saturday morning. Firefighters received the call around 1:53am in the 7000 block of Merrill Avenue. They found the building fully involved in fire with arcing power lines.

A second-alarm was called to bring additional resources to the scene. It took firefighters over two hours to knock down the blaze. The cause or a damage estimate is not currently available. We also do not know what was being stored inside the airport hangar. At least one damaged airplane could be seen at the front of burning hangar.
