Early Morning Fire Rips Through Upland Business

A fire ripped through an Upland business Wednesday morning. The fire was reported at 2:42am. Firefighters arrived to the location in the 500 block of North Mountain avenue to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof. As firefighters got into position, they realized they needed more resources.

A second alarm was called as the fire grew bigger. It took dozens of firefighters a couple of hours to achieve knockdown of the flames. The business appears to be heavily damaged and the cause is under investigation. The business was an art and frame gallery. The estimated loss to property is unknown.
