Homicide Suspect Leads Ontario Police on Pursuit After Shooting

Ontario Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1700 block of East D Street on Monday night. As police were responding they saw the suspect driving away from the scene at a high rate of speed. The suspect later identified as 31-year old Gilbert Conorquie, lead police on a chase near his place of residence in North Hollywood.

Other officers located a gunshot victim at the apartment complex who was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Police say Conorquie got into an altercation with the victim. They also located the firearm used in the shooting during a search of Conorquie’s vehicle. He was booked into West Valley Detention Center on murder, felony evading and numerous weapons charges.
