Inland Empire Protests Continue

Protests against the Minneapolis George Floyd killing continued across several Inland Empire cities over the weekend. Dozens of protesters stood on the corner of Day Creek and Foothill Boulevard next to Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga to make their voices heard.

California Highway Patrol officers blocked the freeway entrances and exits to prevent the protesters from getting onto the 15 freeway. There were a few reported arrests on Friday night after a failure to disperse order was given. It is unknown if anyone was arrested during Saturday’s protest.

Other protests across Inland Empire cities were reportedly peaceful. Several cities had extra officers on standby in the event there was trouble. Posts on social media showed more planned protests in several cities scheduled for Sunday.
