Green Light for San Bernardino County to Reopen Stores, Malls and Restaurants

The State of California gave San Bernardino County the green light for the county to move forward with its plan to reopen stores, malls and dine-in service at restaurants.

“San Bernardino County businesses and residents worked very hard and made tremendous sacrifices to make this moment possible,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Curt Hagman.

San Bernardino County meets the new state criteria for moving deeper into the stage 2 plan set by Governor Gavin Newsom. Shopping malls in the county along with retail stores can immediately open their doors as long as social distancing guidelines are followed. Restaurants may also reopen for dine-in. Staff are required to wear masks and limit capacity.

The county has a small business program that provides $2,500 in funds to help implement guidelines for reopening.
