The driver of a stolen big rig intentionally ran over a Chino Police unit with the officer still inside. The incident occurred Wednesday morning around 4am as the officer tried to stop the stolen big rig. The officer was not injured and the big became disabled at Edison and Ramona.
Two suspects fled the big rig. One suspect got into a nearby get away vehicle driven by a third suspect. That suspects accelerated towards officers and an officer involved shooting occurred. The vehicle got away and the suspects were not struck. One of the suspects from the stolen big rig was apprehended at the scene and arrested. Miraculously, no officers were injured.
An investigation into identity and location of the outstanding suspects is underway.
