Chino Police officers shot and killed a wanted suspect in Rialto Wednesday afternoon. A motorcycle officer originally tried to pull the suspect over for a traffic violation Wednesday morning around 9:55am in the 15800 block of El Prado Road in Chino. The suspect deliberately caused a collision with the motor officer and fled the scene. The officer was transported to a local hospital for moderate injuries.
Detectives tracked the suspect to the 3200 block of north Amberwood in Rialto. A search warrant was served on a residence around 5:30pm. The suspect attempted to flee again but was confronted by officers. Chino Police say the suspect shot at them and the officers returned fire killing the suspect.
The shooting investigation has been turned over to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department.
