The driver of a Tesla going at a high rate of speed sailed through a building in Pomona early Friday morning. The call came in around 2:30am in the 500 block of North Main street. The crash left a large hole in the building as well as path of destruction. The driver was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated.
Pomona Police have not said if the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Based on the damage at the crash scene, it appears speed was a possible factor. The building is being used as a domestic advocacy outreach facility.
