Six people were killed when a Cessna Citation business jet crashed just yards from the French Valley airport in Murrieta early Saturday morning. The jet took off from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas and was trying to land at French Valley Airport around 4:15am in thick fog. The jet reportedly circled the airport once before attempting to make a landing.

The jet burned upon impact after it crashed into a field. All six people aboard did not survive. The names and identities have not yet been released by the Riverside County Coroner. The NTSB and FAA are at the scene investigating the crash. French Valley Airport was closed Saturday morning.
