A 33-year old man died Sunday evening after jumping off a cliff into a creek below in Mt. Baldy. The man was hiking with a friend when he decided to jump off the cliff into the water below near Barrett Stoddard road. The water was about 15 feet deep.
The man’s friend found him downstream and performed CPR. Firefighters arrived and pronounced the man dead. The coroner was called to complete an investigation. The accident occurred in the same area where a teenager went missing in the water in late April. That teen was found dead underwater after a week of searching.
