Ontario Police Seek to Identify Suspect Who Made False Threat to Ontario Mills Mall

Ontario Police are looking for a suspect who made false threats at the Ontario Mills Mall on Monday afternoon. The suspect ran through the mall yelling “gun” and “he has a gun.” The situation caused mass panic and other guests at the mall began to run out of the mall.

Social media quickly flooded with active shooter posts at the mall before police responded and put the rumors to rest. Police took to twitter posting that there was not an active threat at the mall and the claims of a shooter were false. The suspect who caused the panic is described as a 30-35 year old Hispanic male. Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect and are looking for anyone with information to come forward.
