A man is in custody after shooting his father, then barricading himself in an apartment in Fontana. The shooting happened around 3:20pm Thursday afternoon. The victim was shot in the upper torso and transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. The suspect identified by neighbors in the complex as the victim’s son, barricaded himself in an apartment and refused to come out.
A SWAT team arrived and began negotiations with the suspect. He was finally taken into custody a couple of hours later without incident.
