Avalanche Cuts Off Mt Baldy Ski Resort, Closes Road

An avalanche of snow covered Mt Baldy road Thursday. The mountain of snow came down around 7am minutes after a worker at the ski resort was using a tractor to plow the road. The avalanche was the result of days of snow piling up on the mountain. All of the San Bernardino mountain areas have seen record snowfall.

Thursday afternoon, a San Bernardino County work crew was using heavy equipment to try to clear the snow off the road. The Mt Baldy Ski resort remains closed and the California Highway Patrol has set up a closure at Ice House Canyon.
