Challenging road conditions by the recent snow storms made a house fire in Lake Arrowhead difficult to put out. Firefighters were dispatched to the fire Friday night just after 11pm in the 500 block of Golf Course Road in Lake Arrowhead. Firefighters also had to deal with steep terrain and slippery conditions. Additionally firefighters had to locate and dig a nearby fire hydrant out of the snow and to complicate matters a downed powerline presented a life-hazard alert.
The fire was knocked down within an hour. the structure is a total loss and the cause remains under investigation.
