A rare blizzard warning has been issued for the San Bernardino County mountains. The area is seeing snow levels drop below the mountains the foothill communities. Snow could close the Cajon Pass and travel into the mountains is not advised. The major punch from the system will hit the area Friday into Saturday.

Snow fell early Thursday morning in the Calimesa area near the Riverside and San Bernardino County lines. Several feet of snow is also expected for the mountain areas. Snow fell much of Thursday with levels dropping to low as 1200 feet. The storm is expected to move out sometime Saturday with another just behind it hitting the area Monday.
