A San Bernardino Sheriff deputy shot a woman in Grand Terrace Wednesday morning after responding to an assault call. Deputies were called to the 21800 block of Grand Terrace Road at 10:28am after a woman identified as Misty Rose West assaulted her roomate. When the deputy arrived, he found West’s roomate with a head injury. During a search of the residence, the deputy found West armed with a handgun. Multiple commands were given to West to drop the gun. West ignored the commands and at some point an deputy involved shooting occurred.
Both West and her roommate were taken to the hospital. Both are expected to survive. Detectives from the San Bernardino Sheriff Specialized Investigation Team responded to take over the investigation.
