San Bernardino Fire Crews Rescue Dog From Storm Drain

San Bernardino County Firefighters rescued a dog from storm drain Monday afternoon. The one-year old Australian German Shepard named Seamus ran away from his owner during a walk. Before the owner could grab him, Seamus found his way into a flood control basin and began floating downstream in fast moving waters.

An employee at a nearby RV facility on East Redlands Boulevard flagged down fire crews after hearing the dog barking in the channel. Seamus was caught in an access tube. Firefighters were able to get to Seamus using a ladder to bring him to safety. The dog was in good spirits and uninjured. Firefighters used an ID tag to reunite Seamus with his worried owners.
