San Bernardino Police were investigating in an area where several gang related murders took place in the 1300 block of Oregon street. Around 4:42pm Friday evening officers confronted an armed subject. The suspect made eye contact with officers and fled towards an RV trailer on the property while reaching into his clothing and producing a handgun. An officer involved shooting then occurred. The suspect was hit and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The suspect was identified as 47-year old Daniel Felix. A loaded handgun was recovered from the scene.
