Victim Hoisted From Santa Ana River Bottom in Jurupa Valley

One person was hoisted to safety after clinging to a tree in the Santa Ana River bottom. The Riverside County Fire Department received the call Saturday afternoon around 4pm at Limonite and Bain Street. A Cal Fire helicopter was called and two rescuers were lowered to the victim.

The victim was packaged on a backboard and airlifted to an awaiting ambulance, transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
