An eighteen year old pilot made an emergency landing in a single-engine airplane in the Cajon Pass around 10am Monday morning. The pilot- Brock Peters was flying with family members from Apple Valley airport to Riverside Municipal Airport in a rented airplane when he heard a pop and and the engine quit. He immediately began looking for a safe place to put the plane down and settled on Cajon Boulevard.
“I just gotta stay calm and remember my training and just put the plane down and make sure everybody is safe,” said Peters. There no injuries. The FAA is investigating the emergency landing.
