Law Enforcement Officials Bring Holiday Cheer to Hospital Staff

Law Enforcement officials from several agencies in San Bernardino and Riverside counties arrived at Loma Linda University Medical Center Wednesday night. The staff was greeted with a parade of vehicles with flashing lights escorting Santa Claus in a sleigh. The goal was to spread holiday cheer to doctors, nurses and other hospital staff who have worked long hours around the clock. Seated next to Santa Claus was San Bernardino Sheriff Shannon Dicus.

“Much like what we do, the hospital staff gives all to these families. The staff supports them not only medically but with those emotional issues they deal with while their kids in the worse possible condition they can be in,” said Sheriff Shannon Dicus. The Sheriff said this is law enforcement’s way of giving back.

Before arriving at Loma Linda, agencies from both counties spent two days driving by other hospitals, thirty in total across 300 miles. Thirty five agencies participated.
