A woman was rescued from a drainage pipe in the Cucamonga Wash Sunday morning. The call came in around 7am where the wash meets Airport Drive next to the Ontario Airport. Firefighters set up a complex rescue operation using a ladder truck. Firefighters in swift water rescue were lowered via a rope to rescue the woman.

The female victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The rescue comes just weeks after three people died after being swept downstream in another wash in Ontario. Firefighters want to remind people to stay clear of all washes, especially during rainy periods.
