An early morning fire ripped through a garage and extended into the main residence in Montclair. Firefighters rushed to the 10200 block of Camulos Avenue around 2:30am. As firefighters arrived there was heavy smoke and fire coming from the property. Additional manpower was requested. It appears everyone was evacuated safely. Firefighters had difficulty fighting the fire as power lines were arching. Eventually the power company arrived to render the lines safe.

The fire was knocked down within an hour and the cause is under investigation.
