As students go back to school, masking requirements will be relaxed according to new guidance from the CDC. Masking has been recommended and required at most schools since the return to in-person learning. Additionally, the CDC eased recommendations on COVID testing. Many schools had weekly and monthly COVID testing policies.
The CDC is no longer recommending those who have been exposed to COVID positive to quarantine. The CDC does recommend students are up to date on the latest vaccinations to help keep them protected. Those who have symptoms or feel sick should stay home and get tested. The CDC also still recommends schools regularly clean surfaces to reduce the spread of germs.
