Hanger Burns at Corona Airport

A fire at a hanger at the Corona Airport brought several firefighters out to battle the blaze. The fire was reported just after 1pm Sunday afternoon. Firefighters quickly called a second alarm. The Riverside County fire department and Chino fire department assisted.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to one hanger. Hazmat was requested for a possible ammonia smell. Firefighters also shutdown the airport for a short time. The fire burned a boat, RV and other property inside the hanger. It is unknown if any airplanes sustained damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
