Police Discover Woman Dead in a Business After Welfare Check

Corona Police were called to check the welfare of a business owner and discovered her dead from a homicide. Police responded to the business at 1950 Compton Avenue just before 1pm Friday. They found a 41-year old female deceased with visible bodily injuries.

Throughout their investigation they determined a 24-year old homeless man was responsible for the murder. James Billingsley was arrested an hour later after a short pursuit in the area of 1200 E. Ontario Avenue in Corona. Billinglsey was known to the victim and known to frequent the location.

The business is listed as “2tac Corporation” and deals in the computer, peripherals and software industry. A motive has not yet been determined for the murder.
