Rialto Couple Arrested for Abuse and Torture of Juveniles

Rialto Police have taken two suspects into custody for abusing five juvenile victims. The investigation began in Barstow when the victims came forward. The Barstow investigation revealed the victims were repeatedly abused over four years while living with their aunt and uncle in Rialto. The victims came forward after moving with another family member in Barstow.

Rialto Police arrested 26-year old Jessica Salas-Ruiz and 36-year old Fernando Inzunza. Police allege the victims were abused physically and tortured with branding, strangulation and even shot with pellet guns. The abuse happened when the victims lived in the 1000 block of East Jackson Street in Rialto. Both suspects were arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center on multiple counts of child abuse. Inzunza was also charged with torture.
