Firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department, CalFire and the US Forest Service stopped a fire from growing and burning structures Monday afternoon. The fire broke out around 2pm off of Highway 138 in the Summit Valley area of Hesperia.
Two airtankers and two helicopters along with a full response of ground crews stopped the fire at 7.5 acres. The fire briefly threatened structures in the area. Firefighters had a control line around the fire within an hour and will continue to mop up hot spots. The cause is under investigation.
