It was originally thought to be Arson. Firefighters were called to a suspicious fire at the Moreno Veterans Memorial on Saturday March 19th. The fire was reported around 5am and quickly extinguished. It burned brush around the memorial and scorched the sculpture.
After a thorough review of all evidence it was determined that a faulty electrical box was the cause.
