Two Employees of Kiddie Academy in Rancho Cucamonga Arrested for Child Abuse

Two employees of the Kiddie Academy, a Rancho Cucamonga child care service have been arrested on charges of Child Abuse. The investigation began on September 4th, 2021 when an eight month old male arrived at the Loma Linda University Medical Center Pediatric Intensive Care unit with skull fractures and signs of physical abuse. Deputies from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department Crimes Against Children Detail launched an investigation.

It was determined the eight month old attended Kiddie Academy in the 7200 block of Victoria Park Lane in Rancho Cucamonga. Detectives arrested employees Rudie Megan Maldonado and Felicia Ann Ferra for conspiring to conceal the victims injuries and neglect of the victim’s well being. Maldonado was arrested for PC 273a, (child abuse) and PC 182 (conspiracy) and was booked into Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. Ferra turned herself in after an arrest warrant was issued. Detectives are looking for information on additional victims in the case.

Parents arrived Friday afternoon to pick up their kids from the location. Some were just finding out about the allegations and were extremely upset. Some said they were permanently pulling their kids from the program.
