Marshals and San Bernardino Sheriff deputies were tracking a wanted fugitive Monday afternoon. The suspect refused to comply with commands as they attempted to take the suspect into custody. Cell phone video from a witness shows the suspect charging at deputies with a weapon. He was shot and killed by the deputies.
The incident unfolded just after 2pm in the busy Bass Pro Shops parking lot next to Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. There were several people coming in and out of the store at the time of the shooting. No bystanders were hurt and a large crime scene within the parking lot was taped off. Several customers were not allowed to retrieve their vehicles that were within the crime scene for the duration of the investigation.
