Rialto Police officers received a call of a man armed with a knife at a Chevron gas station whose hands were covered in blood. Officers arrived at Valley Boulevard and Riverside Avenue to find the man brandishing the knife at the entrance to the gas station convenience store.
Police say the supect charged at officers with the large bloody knife. Officers fired their service weapons, striking the suspect. Medical aid was rendered, however the man succumbed to his injuries.
Police are investigating and do not know why the man had a bloody knife or why he charged at officers.
