One suspect is in custody after an altercation at Memorial Park in Upland. Police received a call around 3pm Tuesday afternoon about an assault at the park. The victim was located with blunt force trauma. The park is adjacent to San Antonio Community Hospital however it is not known if the victim was transported there. The victim was later pronounced dead.
Upland Police initiated a homicide investigation and arrested the suspect responsible for the assault saying there is no current threat to public safety.
