A kidnapping suspect lead San Bernardino Sheriff Deputies on a pursuit in Highland Friday afternoon. Deputies attempted to stop a Gray Toyota Tundra matching the description of a vehicle stolen during a kidnapping around 4:14pm in the area of Greenspot road. The suspect fled from deputies, losing control at Baseline and Weaver Street and crashed into the living room of a house.
Two people in the truck were killed. The suspect identified as Anthony Lara was taken into custody and treated for injuries at a local hospital. The homeowner was able to escape unharmed. The house sustained major damage.
