Corona Police arrested a suspect in the shootings of two people at the Edwards Regal Cinemas at the Corona Crossing Shopping Center. Corona Police served a search warrant in the 19000 block of Envoy Street in El Cerrito and arrested 20-year old Joseph Jimenez on Tuesday night, less than 24 hours after the shootings occurred.
18-year old Rylee Goodrich was shot and killed, while her date, 19-year old Anthony Barajas remains in the hospital in critical condition. Both were watching “The Forever Purge” movie. Barajas is a Tik Tok star on social media that has over 1 million followers.
Police have not announced a motive for the shootings only saying that witness statements led them to a suspect. The firearm used in the shootings has been recovered.
