Refugio Manuel Jimenez Jr and Angela Renee Jimenez were charged on Monday with starting the deadly El Dorado Fire. Both pleaded not guilty. They face more than 30 charges that also include involuntary manslaughter according to San Bernardino County District Attorney Jason Anderson.

The El Dorado Fire started after a smoke bomb was set off by the couple at their Yucaipa home during a gender reveal party last September. The fire burned 22,000 acres over the period of two weeks. Several homes were destroyed, and a firefighter was killed battling the blaze.
Manuel and Renee will appear in court in September.
