A carjacking suspect led the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department in a pursuit that went eastbound on the 10 freeway. The suspect crashed into a k-rail in a construction closure in Ontario around noon. He tried to back up and ram the pursuing deputies.
With the suspects vehicle disabled he fled on foot onto the property of the Ontario Inn in the 1800 block of east G street. The suspect barricaded himself in a hotel room. Deputies and SWAT units surrounded the room. After 2 hours, SWAT fired flash bang grenades into the room. Eventually the suspect came out and was taken into custody without further incident.
