Minivan Explodes in Montclair Neighborhood

A minivan exploded early Monday morning in Montclair. 911 calls came in around 12:08am about an explosion in the 4500 block of Kingsley Street. Initially residents thought a transformer had exploded when their power went out.

Police and the fire department responded and determined there were several explosive devices inside of a minivan. The Ontario Bomb Squad and the FBI spent several hours in the neighborhood investigating the scene. The minivan was finally loaded on a tow truck twelve hours later.

There is no motive or leads on a suspect at this time according to Montclair Police. They are asking anyone to come forward with information that may help the investigation.
