A driver who suffered a gunshot wound in Rancho Cucamonga crashed into at least two vehicles while possibly fleeing the scene and losing control. The incident occurred Thursday around 6:30pm. Deputies received a call of a multi-vehicle crash in the 108500 block of Church Street.
They found 39-year old Corey Cooper deceased at the scene. Deputies say Cooper lost control of his vehicle after being shot. The other drivers and occupants of the other vehicles were not injured. Detectives were called to the scene and launched a homicide investigation.
They are looking for any witnesses to come forward.
