Suspect Arrested in Rancho Cucamonga Double Stabbing

Homicide Detectives have arrested a suspect in a deadly double stabbing that took place last month in Rancho Cucamonga. 19-year old Jacob Allen Wright was taken into custody on Tuesday during a traffic stop.

Detectives say Wright is responsible for the stabbing deaths of Jia Jia, a 44-year old female and her 8-year old daughter Ruby Meng in their Rancho Cucamonga home in the early hours of March 7th, 2021.

A week after investigators spent hours collecting evidence at the crime scene, they released surveillance video of a person of interest seen leaving the neighborhood after the stabbings. Detectives have not said if the person seen in the video is Wright. Detectives have also not said what led them to arrest Wright. A search warrant was conducted at his home which is also in Rancho Cucamonga but not in the neighborhood where the stabbings occurred.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department. Wright was booked into West Valley Detention Center and his being held without bail.
