Extremely strong wind gusts toppled a big rig early Thursday morning in Fontana. The big rig was traveling on the northbound 15 transition road to the eastbound 210 freeway went it overturned around 1:30am.
The overturned big rig blocked both lanes of the transition road until a heavy-duty tow truck was able to drag it over to the side. The Rancho Cucamonga fire department responded to check on a fuel leak from the big rig. There were no injuries. Gusts of 50 mph were reported in the area.
